As we say hello to a new year, we say goodbye
to a legend. George A. Romero was many things: a visionary, a rebel,
independent, intelligent, warm, loyal and so much more; but equally as important,
he was loved. He was loved deeply by his family, friends and his fans. He has
inspired generation after generation, not only with social commentary but also
with an independent filmmaker mythos. His mark left is undeniable and his
presence in the horror community is severely missed already. George A. Romero
once said “If I fail, the film industry writes me off as another statistic. If
I succeed, they pay me a million bucks to fly out to Hollywood
and fart.” Thankfully for all of us, George always kept that in mind and made
what he wanted to make. Join us as we celebrate the career of one of our
favorite filmmakers. The show is available now on iTunes, podbean, mixcloud and
our blog. We hope you enjoy the show and Happy New Year!

Episode 103 - Horror Through the Year
Like many of you, most of us on the show love seasonal and themed viewings. Whether it’s a fictional date in a film or a certain time of year that generates feelings that align with a perfectly timed viewing, it always adds more to the experience. We’ve covered some seasons (Winter and Summer), we’ve covered elements (atmosphere and rules), we’ve covered holidays (Halloween, Christmas) but what about the rest of the year? Sure heading to Haddonfield on Halloween or Crystal Lake for some camping, is always fun; but so is heading to Amity Island for the 4th of July or down into South Texas in mid-August! On this episode we run through the calendar year filling in the gaps we haven’t covered yet! Available now on iTunes, Podbean, Mixcloud and our blog. We hope you enjoy the show!
